MEN'S BASKETBALL: Javeion Gray Drops 33 in Loss at Number 23 CMU

BALDWIN CITY, Kansas – Despite a career night from two-time Heart All-Conference performer Javeion Gray and his career-high 33 points, the Baker University men’s basketball team fell at number 23 CMU, 79-72, on Wednesday night.

CMU improved to 3-1 and 1-1 in Heart play, while the Wildcats improved to 2-3 ovearll and 0-2 in conference action.

Gray was nearly perfect from the field shooting 12-of-13 from the field, along with 3-of-3 from three-point range and 6-of-7 from the free-throw line.

Taylor Johnson added nine points for Baker and Gray led the team in rebounds with six. Clae Martin and CJ Bolton each netted two three-point field goals.

Baker outrebounded CMU, 34-33, and Daniel Young blocked two shots and supplied BU with four rebounds and two assists.

BU will play inside the Collins Center for the first time this season, this Saturday, November 19 at 4 p.m., as they host William Penn.
