Baker Football Stays at Number 2 in Latest Poll

BALDWIN CITY, Kansas – For the fifth-straight week, the Baker University football team hung on to the number two spot in the NAIA Football Coaches’ Top 25 poll, announced on Monday by the national office.

The perfect 9-0 Wildcats defeated Central Methodist, 76-23, last week, Baker’s 15-straight win over a Heart opponent.

Baker now has 10-straight winning seasons and in that 10-year stretch, BU is 82-29 and 69-21 in the Heart.

The Wildcats are joined in the Top 25 by three other Heart teams including number six Grand View, number nine Missouri Valley and number 20 William Penn.

Three undefeated teams remain in the NAIA, including number one Marian (Ind.), number two Baker and number three Reinhardt (Ga.).

Baker and Missouri Valley will square off this Saturday, November 5 at 1 p.m. inside Liston Stadium.

BU and Missouri Valley are the two winningest football teams in NAIA history, as Missouri Valley is number one in all-time program victories with 615, while Baker has 583 all-time.
