Baker Football Remains at Number 2 in NAIA Coaches’ Poll


BALDWIN CITY, Kansas – The Baker University football remained perfect on Saturday, as they moved to 10-0 with its thrilling, 31-28, win over number 9 Missouri Valley and kept its number 2 ranking in the NAIA Football Coaches’ Top 25 poll, announced on Monday.

With a win this Saturday against Evangel, Baker would capture its first perfect 11-0 regular season in school history and would capture its 15th all-time conference title and third in four years.

The win would also give them an automatic bid into the NAIA-Football Championship Series (FCS) Playoffs, its fourth in the last five seasons.

Evangel comes to Baldwin City with a record of 4-6 and 2-2 in the Heart South. The game will kick off at 11 a.m. and will be broadcast worldwide on ESPN 3 and the Watch ESPN App, as well as locally on KSMO-TV.
