After a million dollar advertising campaign on television, radio and even through the mail, an effort to remove some of the judges from the Supreme Court and the Kansas Court of Appeals failed. From the very earliest results after the polls closed at 7 P.M., it was clear that known of the judges would lose their seats.
Of the Supreme Court Justices that was seeking retention, Chief Justice Lawton Nuss, Justice Dan Biles, Justice Carol Beier, Justice Marla Luckert and Justice Caleb Stegall were all retained. Likewise, every Kansas Court of Appeals Judge, Steve Leben, G. Joseph Pierron, G. Gordon Atcheson, Karen Arnold-Burger David Bruns and Kathryn Gardner were also retained.
Serving the residents of Kansas, with business, government, politics, opinion, and human interest.
