With the split, Baker now stands at 10-14 overall and 4-4 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference, while Culver-Stockton is now 13-17 overall and 7-3 in the Heart.
In game one, Caleb Lee went the distance throwing six innings of work allowing just one earned run and seven strikeouts.
He held Culver-Stockton to just one run through five innings, until the Wildcats tacked on the game winning runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Baker collected seven hits in game one and Austin Bass knocked in the ‘Cats only run, Travis Johnson scored that run.
In game two, four Wildcats appeared on the mound and Jordan David got the start and win after throwing six innings.
Baker led, 3-1, entering the top of the 5th, then exploded for six runs in the 5th to go up 9-1.
The Wildcats had 17 total hits, as Neal Boyce and Johnson led the way with three hits each and Charlie Coleman, Cort Brennan, Cory Gregory and Bass all had two hits. Johnson knocked in five RBI’s to lead the squad.
After David threw six innings, Austin Stendebach, Bennett White and Wes Boehm all threw one inning.
Next up for the Wildcats is a trip to Des Moines, Iowa on Mar. 28 to take on Grand View in Des Moines, Iowa.
