BALDWIN CITY, Kansas – The number 6 ranked Baker University men’s soccer team earned its fifth-straight victory on Saturday and eighth shut out win of the season in a 4-0 win over Grand View inside Liston Stadium.

Baker moves to 12-2-2 overall and 8-0-2 in conference play and is tied for first-place in the conference standings with number 9 MNU, whom the ‘Cats beat, 3-0, back on Sept. 27.
The Wildcats had three different players score on the day, as Matt Hamm scored in the 9th minute with the assist going to teammate Steeve Pouna.
Then Pouna scored a goal of his own in the 23rd minute with the assist from Joe Houlihan.
Just a few moments later in the 30th minute Blake Levine put Baker up 3-0 and he added another goal in the 64th minute with the assist from Carter Yancey.
Baker outshot the Vikings, 13-5, and Ryan Emme played 82 minutes in goal, while Nick Riggle finished the final eight minutes. Emme had three saves, while Riggle had two.
Pouna, Gonnie Ben-Tal and Levine all led the team with three shots apiece.
The Wildcats will next host number 22 ranked Central Methodist on Monday, October 24 at 7 p.m. inside Liston Stadium.
The match is a rescheduled event from the previous match held on October 5. The match will be restarted from the beginning.
