BALDWIN CITY, Kansas – (RV) Central Methodist (CMU) ended Baker University’s five conference match unbeaten streak on Tuesday night, as they defeated the Wildcats in four sets (27-25, 23-25, 25-19, 25-20).
CMU has now won 22-straight matches and improves to 33-3 overall and 9-0 in conference play, while Baker moves to 8-16 overall and 5-4 in Heart action.
Ashley Sparks had a busy night for the Wildcats with 10 kills on 50 total attempts, while Haleigh Offield led the Wildcats with 11 kills.
Gabriella Miller nearly had double-digit kills with nine and Sparks led the team with 19 digs.
Olivia Brees finished with two solo blocks and Jenna Sackman had a team-high 32 assists.
The Eagles hit .169 on the night and collected eight total team blocks and 59 kills compared to Bakers 42.
The Wildcats will next face Haskell and Stephens College this Saturday October 22 at the Haskell Triangular at 9 and 11 a.m. respectively.
