Eleven days after, starting as the new City Administrator, Glenn Rodden worked the crowd of well wishers who came out to the Lumber Yard Art Center, 718 High Street.  Rodden, who has said that he would have an open door policy, told the Lawrence Journal World, that if he had to, he would come downstairs to meet someone.
Originally from a town just outside of Chicago, IL, Rodden made his way to Kansas in about 2000, when he was hired as the new city administrator of Seneca. Then to Holton for two years, followed by Beloit, where he served since 2009 until he came to Baldwin City on February 1, 2016.
Approximately fifty citizens attended, enjoying wings, chips, cookies, vegetable tray and beverages (coffee, water, wine and beer).
