Baker Falters Against Kansas Wesleyan 4-3 in 10 Innings

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – A home run in the Top of 10th inning by Michael Price helped give Kansas Wesleyan a 4-2 lead and propelled the Coyotes to a road victory on Tuesday afternoon inside Sauder Field, 4-3.
Baker fell to 2-6 on the season with the loss, while KWU improved to 6-5.
Jordan David threw a solid seven innings and got the start for Baker, as he allowed just one unearned run and just five hits, but finished with a no decision. Tevin Thompson came in relief for David and gave up the home run to Price and received the loss.
Baker had 11 hits on the day with two each coming from Wes Summers, Cort Brennan and Austin Bass. Brennan had the Wildcats’ biggest hit of the game with a RBI triple in the bottom of the 10th to put the ‘Cats down just one run, 4-3.
Summers, Brennan and Cody Gregory knocked in the three runs for Baker.
The Wildcats will next face Park University on Saturday, Feb. 27 at 1 p.m. at Sauder Field. The Pirates are 8-4 on the year.
