The fourth Thursday of each month, Harvesters brings a semi truck full of food to Baldwin City in what they call a mobile food bank. Setting up in the Assembly of God parking lot on Fifth Street. The distribution is on a first come, first serve basis and is not based on income. Those interested in receiving a distribution of food simply needs to line up and remain in their car. Distribution begins at 10 A.M., however, cars begin lining up along Baker Street, before 8 A.M. and by 8:30 A.M. the line is nine cars long and backed up to Fourth Street. By the 10 A.M. start time cars are backed up to Third Street, and some months even further.
Volunteers gather ahead of  time to help unload the truck and distribute the food to those that have turned out for food.
