WRESTLING: Trevor Sutton Becomes Two-Time NAIA Scholar-Athlete


TOPEKA, Kan. – Baker University senior wrestler Trevor Sutton became a two-time Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete, announced at the NAIA National Championship inside the Kansas Expocentre.

The Manhattan, Kansas native was named one of 59 wrestlers from across the NAIA as a Scholar-Athlete and he earned the award in 2015.

In order to be nominated by an institution’s head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.
