BALDWIN CITY, Kansas – After her record breaking performance last week, Baker University senior Kelsey Larson was named the Heart of America Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, announced on Monday.
The senior forward had a record-setting game on Saturday, as she scored a career-high 30 points and connected on a school-record eight three-point field goals, helping lead Baker to a 103-63 win over Clarke University.
Noumber 10 ranked BU made 18 three-point field goals in the game as well, that tied a school-record and the 103 points scored was a school-record.
On the week, she averaged 22.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game. The Iola, Kansas native shot 63.6-percent from the field and 57.1-percent from three-point land.
The Wildcats are 14-4 overall and 12-2 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference and will hit the road Monday to face Grand View at 5:30 p.m.
