Javeion Gray, Daniel Young Earn All-Conference Honors


BALDWIN CITY, Kansas – Two members of the Baker University men's basketball team were named to the 2016-17 Heart of America Athletic Conference Men's Basketball All-Conference teams announced on Monday.

The two Wildcats to garner the award include senior point guard Javeion Gray who was named to the Second Team All-Conference and Daniel Young earned a spot on the Honorable Mention All-Conference squad.

Gray began his career at BU as the Conference's Freshman of the Year in the 2013-14 season and has now followed that up with a spot on the Heart All-Conference team in three-straight seasons.

He also eclipsed the 1,000-career point total this season and leads the team in scoring at 11.4 points per game this season.

Young had a solid junior season, averaging 8.7 points and 3.5 rebounds per game and led the team in blocks with 24.

Baker will now serve as the number 8 seed in this week's Heart Conference Tournament Championship.
