MEN'S SOCCER: Baker Hangs on to Number 10 Spot


KANSAS CITY, Missouri – After a 5-2 start to its 2016 season, the Baker University men’s soccer team stayed at No. 10 in the first installment of the 2016 NAIA Men’s Soccer Coaches’ Top 25 poll of the regular season.

Baker is currently 1-2 this season against ranked opponents, including a 2-0 win over current No. 3 Davenport University.

The Wildcats are one of four teams from the Heart of America Athletic Conference ranked this week, which are the most teams ranked from one conference in the country.

The other three teams include, number 4 MNU, No. 14 Grand View and
number 17 Missouri Valley.

The ‘Catas rank No. 3 in the country in total shutouts this season with five.

Baker will face rival Benedictine this Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 7:30 p.m. in Atchison, Kansas.
