Brettell Named Heart Player of the Week for Third-Straight Week



BALDWIN CITY, Kansas – Baker University junior quarterback Logan Brettell has led the Wildcat offense to the number 1 spot in the NAIA in scoring offense with 166 points in the teams 3-0 start, for that effort he has been named the Heart of America Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the third-straight week.

The Blue Valley High High School product went 26-of-35 for 427 yards and 5 TD’s in the 41-7 win over then-number 23 William Penn on Saturday.

He is now 77-of-98 for a passing percentage of 78.6 with 14 TD’s and 1,127 yards. He has also rushed for three touchdowns.

The Wildcats are 3-0 after wins of 36-13 over then-number 6 Grand View, 89-27 over Culver-Stockton and the 34-point win over William Penn.

Baker will return to the field on Saturday, September 17 to face Graceland at 6 p.m. in Lamoni, Iowa.
