The Baldwin High School Wrestling team will take on Lawrence High School on Wednesday January 11, 2017.  Both teams will be wearing pink in honor of breast cancer awareness. According to Baldwin High Journalism Teacher Kit Harris, the motivation for the event is his wife Sarah who has been fighting breast cancer for about a year. It is because of this that they wanted to do something to give back to the cause.
The Junior-Varsity match up will begin at 5 P.M., with the Varsity match starting at 6 P.M in the Baldwin Junior High gym. The evening will also include a bake sale and silent auction. All proceeds from the evening will be donated to Lawrence Medical Hospital Oncology.
All area residents are invited to attend and wear pink, to show their support for breast cancer awareness. Pink Baldwin Wrestling shirts will also be available Wednesday night at the match for $12.
