According to Rob Culley, Baldwin City Power Plant Superintendent, "We will be performing some preventative maintenance work next month at the Newton Street Substation. Every five years we clean and test the Circuit Breakers, Relays and Reclosing Devices at the Newton Street Substation, as well as both Power Plants. Unfortunately, this type of maintenance does require an outage of the entire city."
