BALDWIN CITY, Kansas – Baker University sophomore pitcher Oliva Brees earned her second-straight Heart of America Athletic Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week award announced on Monday.
The Meridan, Kansas native earned two wins and a save on the weekend at the Friends University Invitational, in which the Wildcats went 4-1 as a team.
She struck out a total of 30 batters in her 16 innings of work including a 16 strike out game in the win over Bethany.
Against number 1 ranked Oklahoma City, she struck out 11 batters and allowed just two earned runs against a team that is 20-0 on the season.
The Wildcat has a 1.94 ERA this season and a team-high five victories in 47 innings inside the circle.
