Number 14 Baker Womens Soccer Ends in 1-1 Draw Against Grand View

OLATHE, Kansas – The Grand View University women’s soccer team ended number 14 Baker’s four-match winning streak on Saturday, as they tied the Wildcats, 1-1, after 110 minutes of soccer inside Liston Stadium.

Baker is still riding a nine-match unbeaten streak, as they haven’t lost since Sept. 21 and the ‘Cats still sit atop the conference standings in first place a half game ahead of number 15 Benedictine. The Wildcats are 12-3-2 overall and 8-1-2 in Heart play.

The Wildcats put a goal on the board first in the 9th minute when defending Heart of America Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week Jenna Lattimer slammed home a goal off of an assist from Keeley Atkin.

The match went scoreless until the 57th minute when Kiley Kisling scored off of a Taylor Hoffman assist.

Baker outshot Grand View, 11-5, and Rachel Hunt finished with two saves. Kady Dieringer and Megan Johnson each led the team with three shot attempts.

The Wildcats will next host (RV) Missouri Valley on Senior Night, Wednesday, October 26 at 6 p.m.
