Brettell Earns Fourth Heart Player of the Week

BALDWIN CITY, Kansas – For the fourth time this season Baker University junior quarterback Logan Brettell earned the Heart of America Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week award, announced on Monday.

The Overland Park, Kansas native led the Baker offense to 683 total yards in the ‘Cats, 55-34, road win over MidAmerica Nazarene, as he threw for 420 yards on 25-of-37 passing and four TD’s. He also ran for 55 yards on 12 attempts.

The junior ranks number. 2 in the NAIA in total passing yards with 2,886 and number 2 in total offensive yards with 3,094.

The 8-0 Wildcats earned its first true road win over MNU for the first time since 1996 on Saturday and will look to move to 9-0 this Saturday, Oct. 29 as they take on Central Methodist in Fayette, Missouri at 1 p.m.
