SOFTBALL: Brees Named Heart Pitcher of the Week in Back-to-Back Week's

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – After throwing a no-hitter in Baker University’s game one win over McPherson on Saturday, freshman phenom Olivia Brees was named the Heart of America Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week for the second-straight week, announced on Monday.

The Meridan, Kansas native struck out seven batters in the victory over the Bulldogs and just missed out on a perfect game, as she walked two batters.

She became the first Wildcat to throw a no-hitter since Mallorie Nelson on Apr. 22, 2015.

Brees is now 6-0 for the Wildcats with a 1.93 ERA. Baker is now 9-4 on the season and will host Bethany on Tuesday, Mar. 1 at 2 p.m. inside Cavaness Field.
