BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Baker University track & field team hosted the Baker Relays on Saturday inside Liston Stadium.
The Baker men’s team finished in first place with 157.5 total points, ahead of rival MNU who finished with 115 points. While the women’s team finished with 144 points and took home first place.
Some highlights include a first place finish for Josh Peck in the men’s hammer throw with a mark of 47.91m, while teammate Jesse Austin took home second with a throw of 46.58m. Peck also took first in the men’s discus.
Kendal Holloman finished in first place in the women’s pole vault with her mark of 3.23m and Jordan Miller also finished in first in the women’s discus throw with a 40.73m toss.
Brenda McCollum took first place in two events, with her victory in the women’s 5.000m race walk and 1,600m race walk.
The men’s 4x800m relay team outpaced Kansas Wesleyan for a first place mark of 8:15.79, while Kansas Wesleyan finished at 8:17.20.
Alex Garbarino-Herman finished in first place in the women’s 100m hurdles, while Sarah Hollis ran past the competition in the women’s 3,000m steeplechase in a time of 12:26.
