Kansas Governor Sam
Brownback today signed the following eight bills into
law:
SB 55 – Revises Kansas Fairness in Public Construction Contract Act.
HB 2110 – Amends a provision governing the ability of out-of-state trust
companies to establish a branch in Kansas.
HB 2136 – Establishes maximum license application fees for each service
company that works with motor fuel dispensing devices.
HB 2191 – Makes technical changes to law pertaining to hunting and fishing
regulations.
HB 2217 – Requires the Board of Pharmacy to issue a statewide opioid
antidote protocol with educational requirements for individuals who will be administering antidotes for opioid overdoses.
HB 2219 – Requires the Secretary of KDHE to identify goals and develop
plans to reduce incidences of diabetes in Kansas.
HB 2312 – Changes existing law regarding the administrative appeals procedure
for certain fertilizer and water orders.
HB 2329 – Revises the Kansas Employment Security Law with regards to
benefits when an individual receives a post-employment separation payment.
The
Governor has now signed 30 bills into law this session and vetoed two.
By law, the Kansas governor has 10 calendar days to sign the bill into
law, veto the bill
or allow the bill to become law without his or her signature.
