Annual Governor's Easter Egg Hunt

Topeka – Kansas First Lady Mary Brownback announced on Monday the 2017 Governor’s Easter Egg Hunt will be at Cedar Crest, the Governor’s official residence, on Saturday, April 8. The free event is open to children ages 1 to 9 and their families.
The Easter egg hunt will begin at 10:00 a.m.  Children will be divided into four age divisions: 

  • 1-2
  • 3-4
  • 5-6 and 
  • 7-9
There will be a free shuttle service from the Fairlawn Nazarene Church parking lot, 730 SW Fairlawn, to the hunt which will begin at 8:30 a.m. Handicap accessible parking will be available in the parking lot located west of Cedar Crest.
Children also will be able to interact with the Easter Bunny and some of their other favorite characters.
The hunt is sponsored by several organizations including the main sponsor 
  • Topeka realtor Jerry Brosius, 
  • Mars, 
  • Majic 107.7, 
  • the Kansas Army and Air National Guards, 
  • Durham School Services,
  • Topeka Capitol Police.
In the event of rain, all candy will be donated to a local children’s charity.
