BALDWIN CITY, Kansas – Two members of the Baker University men’s soccer team were named to the 2016 NAIA Men’s Soccer All-America Second Team, as senior defender Spencer Atkin and sophomore midfielder Steeve Pouna earned the honor.
Both Wildcats were also named 2016 Heart of America Athletic Conference First Team performers and Pouna led the team in goals scored with nine and led the team in shots with 39.
Atkin helped lead a back line that collected eight shut out victories and an overall record of 13-5-2.
Atkin and his fellow seniors qualified for four-straight NAIA National Championship tournaments and won two Heart of America Athletic Conference Tournament championships.
