Library Spring Plant Sale Set for Friday and Saturday

The 2016 Spring Plant Sale in support of the Baldwin City Public Library has been scheduled for this Friday and Saturday.

From 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, plan to stop by the library at 800 Seventh St. and check out the selection of plants including annuals, hanging baskets, herbs, vegetables and more. All the plants have been provided by Enright Gardens, Voigts Farms and Vinland Valley Nursery. The sale is sponsored by the Friends of the Baldwin City Library.

"Also this year, members of the Baldwin City Garden Connection will be there offering free advice and information for our plant purchasers," said Barbara Pressgrove, president of the Friends of the Baldwin City Library. "We're going to have a great selection this year. I encourage everyone to come out and see what's available. These hanging baskets always make great Mother's Day presents."

Revenue from the plant sale supports the programs and activities of the Baldwin City Library.
