The Lawrence police Department is seeking assistance in locating Aramis Neal Hernandez.
Hernandez, who is 6 feet 0 inches tall, 180 pounds and is 36 (born 3/27/1980) is suspected of Aggravated Battery against a Police Officer. The charge stems from an incident on July 5, 2016 at approximately 4:46 P.M. At that time a Lawrence Police Officer, made a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Massachusetts, of a white Ford Fusion bearing Missouri license plates. As the officer approched the vehicle the driver drove away, dragging the officer, who was taken to an area hospital. The car has since been recovered, however, the driver is still at large. Any information on the whereabouts of Hernandez, please contact the Lawrence Police Department at 785-832-7509 or the Douglas County CrimeStoppers at 785-843-TIPS(8477). Calls made to CrimeStoppers may be made anonymously and callers providing information that leads to an arrest may qualify for a reward up to $1,000.
