Baker Track Garners Four NAIA Scholar-Athletes


BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Baker University men’s and women’s outdoor and indoor track and field programs garnered four 2016 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes, announced this week.

The four Wildcats include three athletes from the men’s team, Andrew Dare, Gunnar Hays and Tyler Randall, while Jordan Miller earned the honor from the women’s squad.

The trio of men’s athletes are amongst a group of 302 athletes to earn the award, while Miller is one of 451 women’s track & field athletes to be named a scholar-athlete.

In order to be nominated by an institution’s head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status.
