Aden Keane
Aden Keane Lee Huggins, age 17, of Baldwin City, KS, passed away June 30, 2018. He was born August 24, 2000, in Lawrence, KS, the son of Laura Huggins.  Aden was a lifelong Baldwin City resident and a member of the upcoming Senior class of 2019 at Baldwin High School.
Aden was an incredible son and friend.  He and his mother Laura were very close.  Aden was her protector and confidant through much of his life. His Grandmother Ivalee was Aden’s shoulder. Aden and his grandmother spent a lot of time going to movies, shopping and supporting one another. Stan Cromer was Aden’s best buddy, mentor, and guardian throughout his life. He was always there for Aden. Aden and his stepfather Scott loved solving puzzling problems, learning about history and working on projects together. His love for his family was unwavering.
Aden, a very active member of the class of 2019, was a Tight End and Defensive End for the Baldwin Bulldog football team and Center on the Bulldog basketball team.  He was a member of National Honor Society and this summer was very happy to be a delegate at Kansas American Legion Boys State.
Even through his own struggles Aden always took time to help others. Talking through problems, making everyone laugh or surprising a family member with a well thought through gift, Aden went out of his way to lend a hand. His gentle spirit and kind soul brought many others to him for guidance and a kind ear for listening. He was always there to help someone through any issue no matter how small. Aden had time and patience to be there and focus on you first.  He was a great counselor for many of his friends; he will continue to look over them now from heaven.
Aden leaves his mother and stepdad Laura Huggins and Scott Young, his maternal grandmother, Ivalee Crockett, best friend Stan Cromer, brothers, Jake Huggins, Anthony Pierce, Nuely Huggins and Kyle Young, nephew, Alaric Aden Huggins, grandparents Ron and Loretta Young  and very supportive family consisting of many aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss him dearly.
He is preceded in death by his father Arick Huggins.
A Celebration of Aden’s Life will be held 3:00p.m. -  7:00 p.m., Sunday, July 8, 2018, at Stony Point Hall, 1514 N 600 Rd., Baldwin City, KS.  The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Aden Huggins Memorial Fund c/o Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, P.O.
