Coffee With a Cop

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting its first Coffee with a Cop event this Saturday, March 11, 2017, from 8 a.m. to noon at HyVee at Clinton Pkwy and Kasold.
According to a press release, the purpose of Coffee with a Cop is to give the community a chance to meet and visit with Sheriff's deputies in a casual setting. A patrol car will be set up outside the store for people to get an up close look. Deputies will be inside HyVee at the Market Grille to visit with people. Chase from the popular children’s animated series Paw Patrol will also be making a special appearance and will be joining deputies as part of the event.
Coffee (as well as other beverages) and donut holes will be available to those who attend the event. HyVee is also offering a breakfast special for children in the Market Grille.
The Sheriff's office goal is to have other Coffee with a Cop events throughout the year at different locations in an effort to give community members a chance to sit down, chat and have a cup of coffee with the deputies of the Sheriff’s Office.
The Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the Clinton Pkwy Hyvee for helping hosting this first event.
