On October 19, 2015 the city council had approved a Kwik Shop expansion of additional pumps and parking into a now vacant lot to the west of the current location. However, with this purchase it is unclear what will happen with the expansion plans.
At press time Kwik Shop representatives could not be reached for a statement.  It is unclear what will happen with the current Santa Fe employees or the current Kwik Shop location.  Employees, speaking off the record,  at both stores said that they were told, that the Kwik Shop will move across the street by the end of the month or early next.
